Replacement Hub and Drum Assembly for a 6x12 Car Mate Enclosed Trailer
Updated 09/12/2025 | Published 08/27/2025 >
Question:
I have a carmate 6x12 enclosed single axle trailer. I need either new hubs or I’m also considering just replacing the whole axle with a new one with new hubs. Do you know which hubs and axle would work for my trailer? There’s so many different kinds on the website it’s hard for me to tell which are the right ones.

Hey Steve!
Your Car Mate 6x12 enclosed trailer will have a 3,500 lb axle so you need the Easy Grease Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K. Be sure to get one for each side of your axle!
I can help you replace your axle as well, but I really only recommend doing this if you're either unhappy with the performance of your axle, or if something is broken on it. If you're still wanting to replace it, I'll need to know the spring center and hub face dimensions which you can see in the attached photo.
