Recommended Roadmaster Baseplate for a 2025 Ford Ranger

Ive an older Roadmaster All-Terrain towbar SN-001322 with a jeep baseplate. Can I adapt this or get a baseplate for a 2025 Ranger for it? Also have a Stay-in-Play brake system. Can I get replacement parts for this? just need the pieces to connect the servo to the brake pedal.

Hey Richard. I wasn't able to get anything off of that serial number for your Roadmaster tow bar. The only Roadmaster baseplate we have for a 2025 Ford Ranger is the item # RM23DQ, that works with Roadmaster direct connect tow bars.

As far as the Stay-IN-Play Duo item # SM99251 goes, we have the Replacement Air Cylinder item # DM6215, which includes the bracket but it's built into the cylinder. We do not have just the piece that attaches to your brake pedal.

Do you know what model your tow bar is? Falcon, Sterling, Blackhawk. Most of them have their names printed really big down the side of them.

Jerred; as usual, you guys are most helpful. Also, as usual, I made the mistake: it's a "Stowmaster All-Terrain" "non-binding " that telescopes and folds and remains on the towed. Does that give me more options? thanks again

@Richard You're welcome, though you may not like this. Those old StowMaster Tow Bars like item # RM-501 are pretty useless when it comes to newer vehicles like your 2025 Ford Ranger. They only work with Roadmaster Crossbar and Demco Classic base plates, which they do not make for your truck. You'll need to upgrade to a more modern tow bar like our etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates - RV Mount - 6,000 lbs item # e74ZR. This one will work great with the item # RM23DQ baseplate kit and comes with safety cables built in.

@JerredH; following up: did get the Roadmaster Nighthawk 8K towbar and the direct-connect base plate for my 2025 Ranger 4X4 from you folks a couple of days ago. The '25 Ranger has ELECTRIC brake boost. What might I use for a braking system for this? Was trying to adapt my old stay-in-play system, but obviously can't connect to vacuum. thanks

@Richard Since your Ranger has electric brake boost you'll want to use the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Flat Tow Brake System item # BLU37TR. It's got a hybrid setting designed specifically for braking systems like your Rangers.
