Looking For Thule WingBar Edge Roof Rack For 2026 BMW X5 M60i With Sunroof

Question:
Hi, I have a 2026 BMW X5 M60i. Looking at the Thule wing bar edge system for flush rails. Is there enough clearance for the sunroof to open?

Hello Chris, thanks for reaching out. We do have the Thule WingBar Edge Roof Rack for your 2026 BMW X5 M60i with the flush rails. For that you can use the following:
- Thule WingBar Edge Roof Rack for Flush Rails - Aluminum - Black - Qty 2 # TH75RG
We do not recommend opening the sunroof with the roof rack installed. Also, some roof rack accessories can hang down below the bars, additionally decreasing the clearance. Also, the crossbars and accessories can create a lot of road noise, so you wouldn't want to open the roof anyway. That said, this is not something we have tested here at our shop, so I cannot tell you with certainty if the sunroof would clear the crossbars. This is why we recommend not opening the roof, but if you want to test it out, please do so carefully.
