Hi Jerred, Is this hitch compatible with a WDH + sway control? Can you recommend one if so?

Hey Jeremy. The etrailer Hitch item # e65KR is not compatible with a weight distribution system. I checked all the other hitches, like item # DT49GR, that fit your 2024 Genesis GV80 and there is not an option that is compatible.

The best solution I have for you is to use the Tuson Trailer Sway Control System item # 335TSC-1000. This is an electronic sway control device that activates your trailer's brakes when it senses sway. This device is installed on your trailer and connects directly to your brakes and your brake controller wire.

Thanks for the reply Jerred. I would be towing 2021 Forest River Rockwood Hard Side A223HW: It appears all the hitches I've looked at for the Genesis GV80 are not compatible with a WDH (including the CURT 13464 and Drawtie). I'm not particularly sure why. If that is the case, I'm not sure I should be towing with my Genesis GV80. My main concern is safety for my family. Or is it that it just isn't required for my vehicle and trailer? Appreciate your help!

@JeremyH You're welcome! It didn't say why they weren't rated and your owner's manual didn't mention or recommend a weight distribution system at all in the towing section. Your owner's manual gave a pretty thorough rundown on the entire towing process and equipment necessary. You'll be good to tow your Forest River so long as you follow it's guidance. Do you already have a hitch, brake controller, 7-Way wiring harness, and ball mount?

@JerredH I do not have any of those selected at this point, just because of weary picking one that supports WDH. Since they don't, I guess I can move on to those next steps. Any suggestions for those?
