Replacement 2-Plug Wiring Pigtail for Optronics ONE LED Tail Light

Updated 08/25/2025 | Published 08/18/2025

Question:

Is it possible to buy a replacement connector with a short pigtail for this light STL0066RBG? My light is fine, but the wires broke right at the connector, which would make soldering them back on problematic.

Hey John!

It is possible! You just need the Pollak Complete Assembly 2-Pole Connector # PK12200 and you'll be good to go!

This kit isn't an Optronics brand, but the connector is the same one so it will work as a substitute.

What happened to your light?

Thanks for the reply! This connector (on STL0066RBG) has 3 pins (not 2 like #PK12200) and has a triangular pin layout. I looked around on your website but couldn't find one from Pollak with 3 pins. Is there one from another vendor? As for what happened: we hooked the trailer up one day and discovered the light wasn't working. Eventually we found a small acorn wedged in right where the connector met the wiring. Not sure how it got there, but I guess it just wore through the wires over time.

@JohnK Shoot, the photos I looked at were at an angle that made it look like 2 pins. Unfortunately, it looks like you'll need to get a whole new light as part # STL0066RBG, or go with a different model with a more modern connector design. I checked with Optronics and that is an old 3-pin design they don't use anymore.

@JonG Thanks for checking. I ordered a whole new light, since that seemed easiest.

@JohnK Good to know - sorry there wasn't just a pigtail you could have used!
