Hey Frank, welcome back! The blue wire on the Dexter DX7.5L A-60 item # DX29FR connects to the reverse light circuit of your trailer's wiring harness. The white is the ground wire.

DOT5 brake fluid is what you'd want to use in the Dexter surge actuator part #DX89FR. If the breakaway pin was pulled it would be replaceable. The breakaway cable is replaceable.
