Do I need to remove my rubber floor mats before setting up the Curt RVi4?

Expert Reply:
You might. The Portable RVi4 brake system # RVI44FR can usually sit just fine on carpeted floor mats, but thicker rubber ones can interfere with leveling or movement. If yours are pretty chunky, I’d remove them for towing. You want a firm, even surface for the unit to press off of. That’ll help prevent brake drag or misalignment during setup
