Seeing and being seen matters when you’re on the road. This PC-rated light throws light 90 degrees to each side for a full 180-degree beam spread. That means when properly mounted, it serves as both a clearance and side marker light—visible from the front, side, or rear. Installation is straightforward thanks to the surface-mount style. The 2-3/4" long by 1-1/8" tall light mounts flat against the trailer with a 2" center-to-center hole spacing. You don’t need a gasket or base plate—the light’s polycarbonate base and red acrylic lens mount directly to the surface. The 2-wire pigtail makes wiring easy too, with a power lead and ground wire ready to connect.
This light is built to handle real-world use. The durable plastic base and red acrylic lens resist cracking and wear, keeping moisture and debris out. Even though it’s a compact 1/2" deep design, it stays solidly in place and keeps shining bright mile after mile.

Speaker 1: Today, we're gonna take a look at the Hot Dot red rectangle LED clearance and side marker light. Now, this small, rectangular trailer light will function as both a clearance light and a side marker light when properly mounted. It does use LEDs, which make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last about 50 times longer. They are more efficient, provider broader light with less power output, and there's no bulbs to replace, or no brittle inaudible 00:00:22. It is a red lens with red LEDs.
It is designed to mount on the surface of the trailer.Now, the hardware to install this is not included. I'll show you. It's a two-wire pig tail. It includes both the power lead, which is the red wire, and the ground wire, which is the white wire. Now, this light does meet the P2PC rating.
It is assembled in the USA. A few measurements on this, the overall dimension, let's turn it this way. Edge to edge is right at 2 3/4" long. The height of it is right at 1 1/8" tall, and the total depth on it at the widest point is about 1/2". Now, the distance between the two mounting holes center to center is right on 2".
The wire length on these pig tail wires is 5 1/2", and it contains two diodes.So, what I'm gonna do now is just hook it up to our 12-volt power just to show you how bright it is. We're gonna take our ground wire, hook it up to the white wire, and then we'll go ahead and take our power, hook it up to the red wire. We'll go ahead and turn on our 12-volt power. You can see our lights come on. I'm gonna go ahead and turn off the overhead lights, and there you go.
You can see the bright light it gives off for a clearance or side marker light. I'll go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights, disconnect it.But that should do it for the review on the Hot Dot red rectangle LED clearance and side marker light.

I used these to attach to the back of my bike rack. I needed something small and flush mounted. These fit the bill perfectly. I was able to mount two on the rack and wire them to the headlights using the wiring pigtail for my trailer. I found these neat watertight heat shrink butt connectors that have a band of solder in the middle; you interlace the wires, position them in the heat shrink and use a lighter to seal the wires and melt the solder. Very handy!
The bike rack slides into my receiver hitch and extends 2' beyond the back of the vehicle, I wanted to make sure the end of the rack was clearly visible at night.
