This light uses 2 amber LEDs that put out a bright, even glow while drawing very little power. Rated for up to 100,000 hours of operation, it eliminates the need for bulb changes and the hassle of brittle filaments. It’s more efficient than older incandescent styles, producing a cleaner light that helps others see you sooner with less strain on your electrical system.
For better safety and compliance, this PC-rated light gives you a full 180-degree beam spread. When mounted properly, it works as both a clearance light and a side marker light, shining clearly from the front and sides. That wide visibility helps other drivers spot your trailer in traffic or low light, adding another layer of reassurance every time you tow.
The low-profile 2-3/4" long by 1-1/8" tall housing mounts flat using surface-mount holes spaced exactly 2" apart (center to center). The install is straightforward—just secure it with your own hardware and feed the wires through a small hole for a clean setup. It’s a neat fit that doesn’t stick out or snag on anything.
A solid polycarbonate base and an amber acrylic lens make this light tough enough for everyday use. The sealed design keeps dust and debris out, protecting the LEDs from damage. It’s built to stay bright and intact, even after plenty of miles on the road.
No complicated hookups here. The 2-wire pigtail has a simple power lead and ground wire, making it easy to connect to any 12V DC system. With a wire length of 5-1/2", you get enough slack for easy routing and a tidy finish once installed.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Hot Dot LED Clearance and Side Marker Light. This small rectangular trailer light functions as both a clearance and side marker light when properly mounted. LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights, they last longer, they burn brighter and they're more efficient. With LED systems, you don't have to worry about replacing bulbs or worry about brittle filaments. The unit is completely sealed so it does have a nice weatherproof construction to it. It features the Amber lens.
It's made from a durable plastic construction. It's a surface mount installation, mounting hardware not included. They do have the two pre-drilled mount holes right here. The unit is SAE approved. It's a two wire design.
White wire is your ground wire, yellow wire is your power lead.When it comes to the overall dimensions of the unit, starting with the overall length, that gives us a measurement of 2-3/4" long, the overall height is about 1-1/8", and the overall depth from back to front is about 1/2" deep. The distance between the mount holes, center-on-center, is 2". We're going to go ahead and hook it up to power, that way you can see what it looks like with some power running to it. We'll also be able to turn off our overhead light so you can see it in a lower light setting. You can see here, the unit sends out a nice bright consistent signal.
The lens allows plenty of light to come through. It contains a total of two LEDs or two diodes. The multi-diode design really helps optimize the overall light output. That's going to do it for today's look at the Hot Dot LED Clearance and Side Marker Light.

My 2022 Montana 3231CK had “safety lights” on both sides below the entrance door and over the black pipe cover. It’s difficult to find the exact lite. My original lights had 3 diodes. I was happy to find the above with 2 diodes. Normal installation was quick and easy. Giving the dimensions really helped.
