That is a very good question, James!
I was going back and forth between them until my head started hurting, so I decided to just ask Roadmaster. What I learned was Earth shattering... not really.
They are actually the same thing, but the Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit # RM63MR has instructions that are catered to Jeeps with the ParkSense feature and the Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit # RM38FR has more generalized instructions. That's the only difference.
What is the year, make, model, and trim of the vehicle you are wanting to install this in?

I could not tell any differences so I order the cheaper one. It's going on a 2005 Jeep LJ that has been retrofitted with LED tail lights, so either way it should work. Thanks for your honest reply. Jimmy K
