Question:

My Jayco trailer has 4400 axel, but the brake backing plate is stamped 5.2k looking to replace the never adjust brakes

Hey David, the 4,400 lb trailer axle is one of the most mysterious and confusing axle capacities in the world of trailer parts...Sometimes it uses parts that are for a 3,500 lb axle, sometimes a 4,400 lb, and sometimes the bigger 5,200-7,000 lb axles. A lot of it depends on the axle brand.

Since yours is marked 5.2k I would also check to make sure it's held on with 5 bolts but if so then the kit you'd for a set of self adjusting brakes part # AKEBRK-7-SA. Is the drum 12 inches in diameter as well?

Thanks am checking them today, it is the torsion axel no springs, have about 10k on trailer, no more adjustment in left side brakes, the never adjust has been great so far, I'll check the #of attaching bolts the hub has 6 studs with 16in wheel/titre, it's on a Jayco 171 BH if that helps anyone in the future.

Yes also stamped 12x2. With 5 bolt and 6 wheel studs, what would be the correct bearings and seals?
