Hi, I have a Reese 66558 and my friction pads are wearing out and they discontinued them , my question is, can I go without them? , dont really want to buy a new hitch because of this.....

No need for a whole new system, we have exactly what you need! Part # RP58527 will work with your # RP66558. Resee only offers them in a four pack because they will also work on the higher capacity systems like # RP66560 that uses two pads per bar so would need all four of them.
