Adapter to Go From PEX Fitting to 1/2 inch FPT

Can I use this to go from pex to the backside of my shower faucet?

Hey Jeff, yes the LaSalle Bristol PEX Female Adapter Fitting # LSB74TR would allow you to go from the PEX fitting to the standard 1/2 inch NPT like you asked about.

The description says no tools needed but it also says use with a compression ring. Dont you need a tool to tighten the compression ring?
