Hi John!

The Draw-Tite hitch # DT53KV for your 2023 Toyota Prius will require a panel to be removed for the install, but it does get reinstalled when you are done. If necessary, you may need to trim that underbody panel to fit around the hitch. We haven't done an install with one of these yet, so I can't say if that will or will not be required.

What are you planning on using this hitch for?

Hi, I did not asks about the under body panel. I asked about the bumper skin. “Do you have to remove the bumper skin to install this hitch?”” Thanks!

@John Sorry about that, John. I can't say I've heard to it referred to as a skin before (we call it the fascia), but it will not need to be removed when installing the Draw-Tite hitch # DT53KV since it installs under the vehicle. The Curt # C67RJ would though, but that is due to it installing behind the bumper. The Draw-Tite is a much easier install than the Curt!
