Question:

Hi - I have a 20 foot Simplicity+ by Carefree awning. The valance is a separate piece of fabric from the main awning fabric. It installs into its own groove on the roller. The awning fabric installs into its own groove on the roller. Will this part number work with this installation? If not what part number will?

Hi Paul!

The Lippert Replacement 19'1" Fabric for 20' RV Awning - Universal - Sand Fade to Black # LCV000334437 Will indeed fit your 20 foot Simplicity+ by Carefree awning. This will install the same way as your current fabric and if you take a look at the Replacement 20' Roller Tube # LC33FR, you can see the grooves you mentioned.

What kind of trailer is this installed on?

The awning is on a sooner 3 horse slant load with living quarters.

@Paul Sooner makes some cool stuff! I haven't had the chance to get into one, but I see them fairly often out here in Missouri. What kind of riding do you do?

@Paul We used to run into people trail riding in the mountains of Southern California when we rode mountain bikes in the 90s and early 2000s. Always thought about riding a horse some day. Fox hunting sounds interesting! Only ever seen that in movies and TV (well, in Futurama it was a robot fox, and then just a robot). Summer is waning, so hopefully you have some more trips planned. Let me know if there is anything else you need!
