Replacement Tail Lights for 1969 Avion Agronaut with Dietz 160 Series Tail Lights

Updated 12/18/2020 | Published 12/16/2020

Question:

1969 Avion Argonaut Needing to replace my tail light lenses one is the Dietz 161 160 Base bracket and the other the Dietz 162 165 base bracket. The 165 has a license plate bracket. I have not been able to find lenses for these tail lights and so I think I am going to have to replace with something new. Any recommendations other than what I have found Bargman Surface Mount Tail Light #30-92-106? Can I get one of these with a license bracket? Any recommendations on where I might find Dietz lenses? Ive attached a picture. Thanks.

I'll start off by saying that I don't believe that Dietz is still in business, so finding new parts may be a challenge. With that said, the Bargman # 30-92-106 light you were looking at is a great choice and can be used on the passenger side of your 1969 Avion Argonaut. For the driver's side you can use the Bargman Tail Light w/ License Bracket - 5 Function - Incandescent - Black Base - Red/Clear Lens # 30-92-108 which comes with the license plate bracket. This pair of lights would give you a new complete set of tail lights for your coach.

I've linked some review videos of these lights for you to check out, but these Bargman lights are the same length as your existing lights and will be a great replacement.
