Do I Need to Drill Holes to Install the Yakima LockNLoad Platform on My 2023 Toyota 4Runner?

Hello, Im interested in the Yakima roof rack for my 23 4runner Lock n load platform , would I have to drill any holes to install this item? thank you

Hello Mark,
The Yakima LockNLoad Platform Rack with RuggedLine HD Mounting System - 84" Long x 49" Wide # Y34NJ is a great choice for your 5th generation Toyota 4Runner. It will not require for your to drill new holes in the roof. You will need to remove your factory rails that run from front to back, the Yakima RuggedLine HD Roof Rack Mounting System that is included with the # Y34NJ will install using the existing holes in your roof.

Wow! Thank you so much for your reply, oftentimes there’s never a clear understanding of installation instructions on different sites which is why I contacted you first. Occasionally I’ll be hauling some light materials and or storage containers, only d we hen I don’t want to hook up to the trailer for those items. I’ll be ordering soon!
