A heavy front load can make your vehicle sag and mess with steering or braking. These SumoSprings Solo helper springs add up to 1,000 lbs of support at 50-percent compression to keep the ride level and steady. The microcellular urethane material cushions bumps and helps your factory suspension handle the extra weight, so your steering stays confident and your headlights stay aimed where they should.
Every load and road surface is different, so these springs adjust as they compress. Lighter loads engage softly for a comfortable ride without harshness, while heavier loads compress by as much as 80 percent to give solid support. The progressive rate design absorbs shocks and vibration so your vehicle feels stable and composed whether cruising the highway or rolling through rough pavement.
Sharp turns, uneven driveways, or crosswinds can throw off balance, but these springs respond independently to each side of the vehicle. That means less body roll when cornering and less sway when passing trucks or dealing with off-center loads. The result is a more planted feel and better control in everyday driving.
The closed-cell urethane material stands up to oil, road salt, and UV exposure without breaking down. It performs reliably in temperatures from -25 F to 200 F, compressing vertically with minimal side expansion so nearby components stay safe. With no air lines or compressors to maintain, these maintenance-free springs just work—trip after trip, season after season.
Adding front-end support doesn’t have to be complicated. These custom-fit jounce-style springs bolt right into place with no drilling required. Just solid, straightforward design that fits tight spaces cleanly so you can get back on the road with a stronger, more stable suspension setup.

Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs for the front axle. This is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2002 and newer Freightliner M-2106 and 112 trucks, with either air springs or inaudible 00:00:18 springs. Because this is a custom fit part, I always like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you if this'll work for application. These helper springs will upgrade your vehicle's front suspension for improved driver control and comfort to help support heavy front-end loads to keep your vehicle level, and they help to absorb any bumps and shocks, helps minimize sway.
They do use progressive load control, which means the springs will compress according to the weight of your cargo. If you have a lighter load, the springs will compress easily at first for a nice, soft engagement and less bumpy ride. If you get a heavier load, the springs will compress by as much as 80% for support. These do work independently from each other, compensate for any off-center loads, help reduce body roll during sharp turns. The springs themselves, they are made of a durable microcellular urethane. It's designed to work in temperatures from a -25 degrees Fahrenheit up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit, and the material does resist damage that can be caused by oils, road salts, and UV rays.
It does offer minimal lateral expansion, meaning the springs will compress vertically instead of to the sides, so they aren't easily damaged when operating in tight spaces. Of course, they're maintenance-free, because there's no tubing to run or air pressure to monitor like with air springs. These are very simple; no drill installation. It comes with the two inaudible 00:01:42 style springs, the spacers, the brackets and hardware you need for installation, nice set of instructions, and they are made in the USA. A few specs on this; the weight capacity at 50% compression is 1,000 pounds. These SumoSprings will not increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity. That should do it for the review on the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs for the front axle..

Ordering was easy and shipping was quick. Installation was Super easy, took longer to lift Motorhome and set Jack stands then to install The SumoSprings.
Ride was much smoother and body roll was much improved.
Very easy to install. I have not put very many miles on Rv but have noticed that there is much less swaying when going over uneven driveways. After installing these and and safe t plus steering it drives a lot better.
Installation in a 2022 Sierra 2500HD was easy, used large Channel locks to remove factory, new ones popped in by blocking them with wood wedge while vehicle was jacked up and releasing jack quickly so all weight would come down at once.
Only have aprox 100 miles on new Bump Stops but ride feels smoother as they are engaged at rest, unlike factory that engage on bumps. Need more miles to fully review.
Springs are good, working well. My Tacoma is stock (no lift). With the front end jacked up and wheel/tires totally suspended I was not able to get the springs mounted. I had to cut off about 1/4 inch of threads to get them into position to screw then in. Once that was done everything was ok.
Sumo Springs really helped with the bumps in the front of the 2019 Ford E350 Winnebago! Very happy with them. Super easy install even though a bit awkward to reach the spot.
Very easy installation. Would be nice if they were about 2” longer to get contact sooner but they were a good replacement for the hollow stock bump stops.
Super easy to install maybe 30 minutes for all 4
Fronts were done from above with wheel turned full right or left and load off that side with jack, rears jack to take off load only used large flat head screw drive to remove replace
improved side to side roll/sway ride is firmer went with the black capacity maybe yellow on rear if loads increase
these look like the perfect thing for my tired old helper springs, I put SumoSprings on my rear axel of my Jeep a year ago and the have made that ride much better hoping for the same with these.
Installed Sumo Springs on my 2019 Chevy 4500 motorhome, I was looking for ride improvement without breaking the bank. These days so many products are marketed well but never match the performance that was promised. That is not the case with Sumo Springs!!! I am very pleased with the ride improvement, sway is gone when transitioning from different levels of pavement and the shock of bumps is 50% better!! Installed myself on front and back in about 1 hour, front ended up about 3/8” higher after a couple days, got front end alignment done but didn’t need any adjustment. Finished a 400 mile road day today and my wife and I are very pleased. Excellent product!!
I’ve made several purchases from eTrailer and have been satisfied every time! Recently bought front and rear Sumo helper springs. Installation was a breeze. They have helped reduce the side to side sway caused by wind, freeway traffic and rough roads. So far im very happy with them.
Installed front Sumosprings yesterday but have not driven vehicle yet. The front have full contact with the A-frames.
Should help with van side-to-side sway.
Shopping around for a set to install on the rear as well.
Product is great, exceeded my expectations. Install is simple and straightforward. It’s a night and day difference in both the body roll and the handling small bumps all the way up to off-road conditions.
I have a Workhorse W22 chassis. I installed steering dampeners and HD sway bar to reduce the "loose" steering. After installing the SumoSprings Front Spring helpers on the front end, 90% of the looseness on the front end disappeared. It is now a pleasure to drive. Very little sway from passing trucks and cross winds. I will be installing a set on the rear this year.
great product. the sales person was and is very knowledgeable great person to deal with. many thanks. david
Easy to install iBig improvement in the ride
Very happy with the ride improvement.
Easy install fast shipping I think these will work great.
I put these on a 2021 jayco Seneca and was worth every penny. Installed a steering stabilizer with it and can truly tell the difference. Easy to install and worth every cent
Easy to install and appear very heavy duty. Has made a big difference in my Super C RV to limit sway . Great addition and good price . Highly recommend for all Super C with on a 10 minute modification due to shock position for S2 RV
Purchased for a Super C rv on the S2RV chassis. This chassis doesn’t use a sway bar and is definitely needed. The installation was easy and the results were an improvement in driving the coach, less sway and more stable in winds and truck traffic.
I put these on our 2020 Renegade Valencia. The Valencia sits on the Freightliner S2RV chassis. I had to customize the driver side pretty extensively by cutting a section of the metal off so it wouldn’t hit the shock absorber. The screws on the driver side were also a little short because of the leaf spring, and it made it a little more difficult to get the bolts on. Passenger side went on without any problems. Getting these things on has made a night and day difference in the ride quality. Especially around the neighborhood. The sway or lean of the RV has decreased dramatically with these things. Highly recommend, if you have some DIY skills to get the driver side on correctly. There are a few video’s on YouTube of people doing the install which helped me a lot. Since I had to take the Rim/Tires off to do this job, I took that opportunity to change the shock absorbers as well, which surprisingly was very easy to do.
Nice ride although I highly recommend packaging and shipping be done separately. Those Sumo`s squared up and clashed! With the use of google translate I was able to deescalate the match in Japanese. Now they are separated by a mass of steal and are behaving as intended. Good product worth the ride.
