Question:
Is there a version of this that fits longer rods, like my 11foot switch rod? or can fit 4 standard rods?
asked by: Maxwell
Expert Reply:
Yes, with the Thule RodVault 2-Rod Extender (part # TH92JS), you can now carry rods up to 12 feet long fully rigged in your RodVault 2 # TH34FR23YR or 4 # TH34FR55YR. It’s a factory add-on that replaces the standard 10' tubes with longer ones, giving switch and spey rod anglers exactly what they need without breaking anything down.
If you're consistently fishing with 11'–13' rods, like surf casters, steelhead switch setups, or long nymph rigs, the extender is a game-changer. And it still locks, protects, and mounts just like the original RodVault. Let us know your rod length and roof bar setup and we’ll confirm if the extender is the right fit for you.
