Question:
I have an Airxcel Model 48253C966 that needs to be replaced. I would like to use the Advent ADV79FR. Is this a compatible replacement and can I reuse the interior grill and mounting hardware? Thank you

Hey Todd, thanks for reaching out!
All of the current AC units use their own wiring and connectors. You might be able to find a tech who can wire in the Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner # ADV79FR manually, but your best bet will be to get a complete replacement system to ensure everything is compatible.
I recommend sticking with the Advent Low Profile, but using the Kit # ADV45SR which allows you to change the settings manually at the distribution box, or the Kit # ADV65SR which comes with a wall thermostat.
What do you think?

Hey Todd, did you decide to go with the Advent Low Profile system with the manual settings or the wall thermostat? I'm curious because it could help others make a decision on their replacement options.
