Does Draw Tite Hitch for Chevy Equinox EV Reduce Ground Clearance
Updated 09/02/2025 | Published 06/28/2025 >
Question:
How does the draw-tite hitch differ from the GM version? Is the draw-tite lower? Will it affect the ground clearance? Thanks!

Hey Ben, yeah the Draw Tite part # DT66KV does hang lower than the OEM hitch as it fits below the rear bumper instead of through the back of it like the OEM hitch does. You'd only lose about a couple inches of ground clearance but it shouldn't be too big of an issue unless you live in an area with super steep driveways. What do you want to use the hitch for?

Hey Ben, did you decide if the Draw-Tite hitch would work for your needs, considering the ground clearance? I'm curious because your experience could help others in similar situations.
