What Weight Distribution System Do You Recommend For My 2025 Forest River Surveyor?

Updated 09/02/2025 | Published 06/20/2025

Question:

Hi, I want to purchase the Equal-i-zer WDH for a 2025 Forest River Surveyor X 27CAMP, GVWR 7705, Tongue Weight 705, DRY WEIGHT 6308. I will have a long drive to bring it home so I want to buy the WDH before having the ability to load the trailer to measure true tongue and trailer weights. Will a the EQ90-00-1200 be a good choice for this trailer, assuming itll later be loaded closer to half to full capacity? Please advise.

Hey Narek,

The Equal-i-zer weight distribution system # EQ90-00-1000 would be a great option for you. Since your trailer roughly comes in at 700lbs tongue weight as just its curb weight this is a great option assuming it will be packed and loaded when pulling. The weight distribution system is great for tongue weight ranges of 700lbs-1,000lbs. One thing I recommend if you are able is to get a measurement of the trailer frame. The brackets needed to install the friction bars fit a maximum trailer frame height of 6" so you want to make sure that will work on the trailer. Otherwise this will be a great setup for your trailer.

What are you towing it with?

Hey Narek, Did you get a chance to measure the trailer frame to ensure the brackets will fit? I'd love to know how it worked out for you, as it could help others with similar setups.
