What Coupler Should Trailer Get if Frame is 2-5/8 inches Wide
Updated 09/08/2025 | Published 06/10/2025 >
Question:
Hello, I have a 2 1/2 to 2 ball hitch trailer coupler that I would like to replace, but I noticed that the actual dimensions of the channel is closer to 2 5/8 even though my current trailer coupler is engraved with 2 1/2 on it. What would be my options for new trailer couplers given this information? Thanks

Hey Keith, you would need a 2-1/2 wide channel coupler like the # CT-3002-Z even though your frame does measure a little wider. Is there a brand or part number on your coupler that you can find as well? I am curious what you have.
