Crossbar/Roof Rack Recommendation for Tonneau Cover with Channels

Hi, I’m looking for some cross bars that will work with a tonneau cover. The tonneau covers has t slots and it looks like the rhino racks might work. I’m wanting to use these to mount a roof top tent that weights about 140 lbs. Can you point out any models that will work for my situation. Also open to other brands.

Hey Chris, the Rhino Rack roof rack for factory tracks part # Y02-480B-NT that you referenced will fit the channels that your tonneau cover has. This is a really solid option that would work great and can handle the weight of your roof tent.
Another great option is the Yakima Outpost HD Overland with Tonneau Adapter part # Y01152-5755 which gives you a set of adjustable height HD aero shaped crossbars that can easily slide forward and back as well. This is the best option that has the most versatility. Or if you wanted something taller we have a ladder rack version of this that sits higher with the part # Y01151-5755. Think you'll carry anything else other than the tent?

Hi, Thanks for the reply and other options. When it comes to the Rhino roof rack you referenced it says the max weight is 220Lbs. Is this dynamic or static weight or both? I’d be fine carrying the 140lbs tent but then two people will be well above the 220lbs limit when in use. Can you please confirm the static weight of the Rhino roof rack you referenced?
