What Hitch and Bike Rack for 2 Bikes do I Need for My 2015 Audi Q5?

I am considering purchasing the curt hitch Part Number: C13136 or the stealth hitch Part Number: C73ZJ for my 2015 audi q5. The main purpose of the hitch would be to add a bike rack to it capable of two bikes. With the hidden hitch would i need sn extender to add a bike rack?

Hello John,

Both of the part numbers that you listed are for Curt hitches, the # C13136 is the round tube style, and the # C73ZJ is more you traditional square tube. Both are a great fit for your 2015 Audi Q5, and both are listed with a 750 pound tongue weight. Of course you will want to check your owners manual to see what Audi says the Q5 can handle, just because the hitch is rated that high does not mean the vehicle can handle that much weight.

For the Stealth hitch you would want the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # 391AUDQ509. This rack is really nice because when it is not in use the receiver can be removed, you put the little panel back on your fascia, and you would never know you had a hitch installed. You will not need an extender to use a bike rack with this hitch.

If you are looking for a great bike rack, check out the Thule Verse Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount # TH64SA. This rack can handle a whopping 60 pounds per bike. I was just out playing with this rack yesterday and was amazed on how nicely it is engineered, and it is extremely user friendly. The only downfall is that it will not work with bikes that have fenders, so if yours do please let me know.

Will this work for 2014 Q5 TDI Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" Part Number: C73ZJ Is this a new product, i don't see any review? Is it the same as Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" Part Number: 75940

@Ryan Yes, both the Curt # C73ZJ, and the Draw-Tite # 75940 will fit your 2014 Audi Q5. I know the Curt # C73ZJ was released last year, we have sold quite a few but no one has left a review yet, you could be our first =) The specs are the same on both the hitches, and both are great companies with high quality hitches. Wish I could do more to help you make your decision. What are you looking to use the hitch for?
