Hey Jeff,

The best way to reduce chucking on your trailer, especially since you have a new truck and quality hitch is going to be to upgrade the trailers pin box to a cushioned or air ride pin box. Now figuring out which one works on your trailer depends on the model pin box that is currently on it. That is usually stickered on the driver or passenger side of the pin box. Something like the Curt Flex Air. # LC328492, is going to be a good upgrade that uses an airbag to reduce that chucking you are noticing.

You'll want to make sure the trailer is level and that the weight of the load is evenly distributed. Another route to go would be to look at upgrading the rear suspension of the truck. Airbags or SumoSprings rear helper springs are going to help reduce the load on the rear of the truck which will reduce that chucking. I recommend # SSR-203-40-2, SumoSprings for your vehicle. Since your vehicle is newer and heavier duty than a standard pick up truck, your best bet is going to be to upgrade the pin box.

If you want to let me know what model pin box you have on your trailer I will see what upgrade options we have.
