How to Find the Offset on Trailer Wheels

Updated 09/12/2025 | Published 05/21/2025

Question:

I have a 2007 32 foot Haulmark Race Trailer. I need to replace the wheels. I know they are 16x6.5 bolt pattern. Can you tell me what offset I need? The wheels I am replacing are not OEM.

No, I can not sorry. I have no idea what the offset is on your current trailer wheels but I can tell you how to find it.

Most trailer wheels have a 0 offset, but to determine if the wheels on your trailer have one, you will first want to remove the wheel from the trailer. Once removed, you can measure from the mounting surface of the wheel (where it mounts to the hub) to the inside and outside beads. The difference between these two measurements is the offset.

What size are your tires and what style of rim are you looking for? You can leave this information in the comment box below along with the offset of your current wheels.
