Boat Trailer Wheel Recommendation for Wheel Size 15x6 6 on 5-1/2 inch Bolt Pattern

Updated 09/12/2025 | Published 05/20/2025

Question:

Planning to replace boat trailer wheels 5 total with aluminum since the chrome ones are prone to rust. Currently have steel chrome 15x6 6-5.5 bolt pattern with new Goodyear Endurance tires. What are your best-selling options?

Hey Steve, our best selling trailer wheel that matches what you need is the silver part # AM20539 which is a mod style steel wheel that is powdercoated silver.

Since it's a boat trailer trailer and you probably want something that will resist corrosion the aluminum part # AM93NR is a really great option that's not too expensive and I think looks really nice.

Down below I attached a link to all of the options we have that would work for you to check out as well. Let me know which you like best.

Chrome plated wheels are the worst though. I've had a few sets end up corroding and leaking which was super annoying.

Hey Steve, did you decide to go with the aluminum wheels for your boat trailer? I'm curious to know how they worked out for you, as it could help others looking to avoid corrosion issues with their trailers.
