Anti-Sway Bar for 2024 Winnebago Solis 36B on 2023 Ram Promaster 1500

Updated 05/31/2025 | Published 05/15/2025

Question:

I have a 2024 Winnebago Solis 36B, built on the 2023 Ram Promaster 1500 chassis and I would like to add an anti-sway bar to improve handling. Recommendations from other same model owners are for the 1.5 rear anti-sway bar. What say the experts?

Hey Amelia! Did you find a 1-1/2" diameter anti-sway bar for your 2024 Winnebago Solis 36B? It doesn't look like Roadmaster or Hellwig offer one. The # RM52GR from Roadmaster is 1-1/4" in diameter. Larger diameter typically means more stability. However, it is possible to overdue it and negatively impact ride quality.

If it is too thick you can run into a stiff ride and poor balance. I don't know for sure but, I'm guessing if Roadmaster thought a 1-1/2" would be more beneficial they would have made one so people have the option. I think the 1-1/4" will add the stability you're looking for and improve the ride quality on your Solis.

Robin - Thanks for the reply. Roadmaster does make a 1 1/2 anti-sway bar for the Ram ProMaster 1500. It is listed on e-trailer - https://www.etrailer.com/Anti~Sway-Bars/Roadmaster/RM24NQ.html - but it is a special order with a long delivery time delay and is much more expensive than the 1 1/4 anti-sway bar. It is also a different shape than the 1 1/4. Don't know why the shape difference? I know that some owners install their spare tire underneath but that is not my plan. My question is related to the advantage of a 1 1/2 over the 1 1/4 including the significant price difference. As noted in my original email, other owners have installed the 1 1/2 and been pleased. I don't know whether the difference is worth the money and time and improovement in ride? I will note that I don't have any plans to tow with my van but do have plans to install a spare tire rack and an e-bike rack and possibly a ladder on the back which will add weight. I do have ideas (from other owners) on what works for them in that area but haven't arrived at a solution (or budget) yet. The anti-sway is my first consideration and need. Thanks for your help and input. AC

@AmeliaC the RM24NQ is for the following: 2024 - 2025 Ram 2500 2024 - 2024 Ram 3500 Pickup This is for the pickup truck, not the ProMaster. That also explains the difference in the design. Roadmaster only lists the 1-1/4" on their site so I'm not sure where the 1-1/2" is coming from. Even if you find a 1-1/2" I think the 1-1/4" is going to take care of the sway so I would save myself the money and apply it to the other upgrades you want to add.
