Do I Need 2' Straps or 4' Straps for My Boat Trailer Tie-Downs that are 33" Apart?

Question:

Hello, I have a question about item F14206 2x2 ratchet transom tie downs. The distance between my eyelets on the boat trailer to boat tie down eyelet is 33 inches. Will these straps be long enough overall or should I use the F14207 2x 4 straps. Thanks

Hey Richard. If you've got a span of 33" you need to cover you're going to want to go with the 4' long BoatBuckle Heavy Duty Ratchet Transom Tie-Down Straps item # IMF14207. The 2' BoatBuckle Heavy Duty Ratchet Transom Tie-Down Straps item # IMF14206 are going to be too short and we do not have a 3' option. You can tie the excess around the ratchet to keep it from flailing in the wind.

Hey Richard, did the 4' BoatBuckle Ratchet Transom Straps work out for securing your boat? I’d love to hear your outcome because it could give others confidence when choosing the right strap length.
