Lippert Flow Max Toilet Broken Flush Pedal

Updated 04/30/2025 | Published 04/28/2025

Question:

This question is about a Lippert Flow Max Toilet Ive had this installed in my custom made BBQ trailer for a couple of years, its been a solid product The pedal began to feel spongy almost like something plastic was flexing and would often take a couple of pumps before the valve in the bowl would pop open. Then there was a pop. How the pedal works easily but it does not return to the closed position on its own. Like a spring broke or something. Looking at service parts I only see a water valve and Im not really convinced its the correct part. Hoping for some guidance before I pull it all apart. Thank you

That piece of the Lippert Flow Max is known to break unfortunately and it's not repairable as Lippert recommends either warrantying the toilet or replacing it altogether? Is toilet newer by chance?

@BrianO That's a bummer. That specific issue is pretty common with the Lippert toilet. I've seen people have the issue under warranty and then once they got a warranty replacement the problem came back on the new toilet a couple months later. While that's not everyone's experience it doesn't make me want to recommend that as a replacement for you. I'd replace it with the Dometic 320 Full Timer part # DOM87FR which we know is much more reliable.
