Platinum Plus Warranty with Roadside Assistance

This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with a Platinum Plus warranty that includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change out the flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to the roadside assistance, this warranty also includes other benefits and services.

Provider Radials with Automotive-Grade Tread

Provider Tread Vs Standard Tread

Unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the automotive-grade tread on these Provider radials has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. The Provider tread also has sipes. Siping is a process in which thin grooves (or sipes) are cut into the rubber of the tire. The grooves channel water away from the tread so that the tire makes better contact with the road. Both of these features greatly improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.

Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.

Match Mounted and Balanced Trailer Tire Assembly

In an ideal world, tire-and-wheel assemblies would be perfectly round and even throughout. Unfortunately tires and wheels have imperfections that often cause vibrations, resulting in a rough ride and wear and tear on the assemblies, as well as on the rest of your trailer's running gear. Taskmaster helps to solve this problem by match mounting and balancing their assemblies so they're ready to roll when they reach your door.

To do this, Taskmaster uses a laser-guided machine to locate the heavy and light spots of each assembly. They then align the assembly so that lightest part of the tire is near the heaviest part of the wheel. The assembly is then rotated at high speeds to pinpoint the optimal place to apply weights to further balance the tire.

Don't delay your adventures by having to take your trailer to the shop for new tires. Start rolling as soon as possible with easy-to-install, fully balanced tire-and-wheel assemblies from Taskmaster.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

Video Transcript for Review of Taskmaster Trailer Tires and Wheels - Tire with Wheel - TA56AR

Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our Taskmaster Provider ST225/75R15 radial tire with the nice black machined Trinity wheel with a five on four and a half inch lug pattern. Now folks, this wheel and tire combo is gonna be great for your campers and trailers. It is made and assembled for trailers, so please never use it on a vehicle. It's just not designed for that. Now each tire and wheel assembly is gonna come pre-matched and balanced from the factory.

That's gonna minimize vibrations, reduce wear and tear on your trailer. Now as you know, trailers are gonna face a variety of weather conditions and good traction is key. So with Taskmasters, they give you an automotive grade tread and as you can see here, it's got sipes on the side that's gonna channel water away, pushing water away, giving you a better grip on the road no matter what mother nature throws at you. Now again, this is an ST225/75R15. So the wheel is a 15 inch diameter, that's bead seat to bead seat and it's six inches wide without the tire on there.

Now the pilot hole is a 3.19 inch hole, but remove the center cap, that's that 3.19. It does come with the nice center cap here and it comes with a five lug pattern. Again, a five on four and a half inch lug pattern. Now the outer diameter of this hole assembly is actually 28.3 inches in diameter and the section width from the side is 8.9. It's a load range E, which means it's a 10 ply tire and the max speed is an M and that is 81 miles per hour.

Now on the tire, after all the information as far as the tire size, you usually have another couple of numbers. And then that last letter dictates that speed rating, which again is 81 miles per hour. The wheel capacity is 2,835 pounds and the whole assembly here can hold that weight easily. Well folks, I think that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look together at this Taskmaster Provider with the included center cap on the black machined Trinity wheel. Folks, I'm Steven, thanks so much for your time.

Thanks for watching. Have a good one.

  • Recommendation to Replace 205/75R14 Tires on Mallard Camper
Hi Jeff! So the only combo with the 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern we have that provides that Load Range E rating is the Taskmaster Provider # TA56AR. It doesn't look like that tire is available by itself, either. This would certainly give you more than enough capacity with its 2,830 pound rating, but other than extra peace of mind (which is indeed valuable), I'm not sure you really need to upgrade. The Provider # A225R645WM you were looking at is still going to give you a combined load...

  • Availability Of Goodyear Endurance ST225/75R15 Tire Mounted On 5-Lug Aluminum Wheel
Hello John, thanks for reaching out. Sadly, we do not offer that size Goodyear tire on a 5-lug wheel. We can offer you a ST225/75R15 tire on a 5-lug aluminum wheel, but it would not be a Goodyear. Our selection of Goodyears is pretty limited at the moment. If you want to look into other options, what I recommend is the following: - Taskmaster Provider ST225/75R15 Radial Tire with Black Machined Trinity Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 # TA56AR

  • Where Are The Taskmaster Wheels And Tires Made?
Hello Virgil. The Taskmaster wheels and tires like the # TA56AR combo are manufactured in China. We cannot guarantee a specific date code for our tires. We typically move tires pretty quickly. We receive shipments regularly and we make sure to rotate our stock to prevent old stock from getting sent out. Also, our tire warehouse is climate controlled and tires do not age in proper storage. The warranty would start when you receive them. Also note that with the current state of the supply...
