Is Pullrite ISR Series 5th Wheel Hitch Locking Plate Same as for Pullrite OEX

Updated 04/14/2025 | Published 04/12/2025

Question:

Hi I currently have a Ram 2500 6’4” bed with a Pullrite ISR series super 5th 20k Hitch pulling a Grand Design 295RL Fifth wheel. It has a Turning Point Pin Box which is locked out at the Hitch. I am getting a 2025 Ram 2500 6’4” bed with Factory Fifth wheel Puck System. I would like to get the Pullrite OEX Super 5th Hitch 4800. My questions are: Can I use my current lock out plate from the 20k hitch with the Locking Plate on the OEX hitch. Can I use the furthest from the truck cabin locking plate position with the Turning Point Pin Box and locking out the hitch plate?

Hey Mike, yes the locking plate setup you have now that you are using with your current Pullrite hitch would be the same as what you'd want to use with the Pullrite OEX part # PUL29ZR you are looking at so you wouldn't need to replace that as well.

Thanks Jameson, As for my 2nd question. Can I use the forward position for the locking plate with the Turning Point hitch? Thanks

@MikeF What do you mean by the forward position of the plate? Do you mean the forward position of the fifth wheel hitch head?

@JamesonC Yes. Looking at the hitch there are 2 positions for the locking plate post. The cab side position is about 4” from the rear (trailer) position. Is the “trailer” position ok to use with the Turning Point hitch.
