Hello Mike,
Yes, there will be minor trimming on your 2024 Audi Q5. If you watch the install video I attached the CURT # C98JR hitch receiver typically installs on the 2020 Audi Q5 without any fascia trimming, the 2024 model often requires minor trimming due to changes in the rear fascia design starting in 2021. These updates, especially on trims with sport styling or a lower rear valance, mean the receiver tube may not clear the fascia without a small notch cut into the lower center section. The trim is minimal and generally not visible once the hitch is installed. I would like to point out that it does have a 10 out of 10 for difficulty, that is because it takes quite a bit of time to get the car taken apart to put the hitch on.
