Hey John, yes the B and W Patriot Slider part # BW25QR would work great with a trailer that has a 17,000 lb GVWR. This hitch has a trailer capacity of 18,000 lbs and at most yours could safely weigh up to 17,000 lb so you'd easily be safe. The only reason this hitch wouldn't work for you is if for some reason you were using an OEM rail kit adapter to go from a puck setup in the bed of your truck to industry standard rails.

Thanks, I already have the bw 2406 rail kit installed. I’m not happy with how my Morryde pin box is working with my Pullrite Superlite 2400.

@JohnZ Gotcha, yeah the Patriot would work great with that rail kit. What don't you like about the Superlite?

@JamesonC The Superlite worked well with a 12,000 pound trailer and fixed pin box, with a 17,000 pound trailer with a Morryde pin box I get quite a bit of movement. I’ve looked at the gooseneck adapter plate for the Morryde, but have not found any reviews that mentioned any improvement.
