Question:
Good Afternoon, I am in the process of purchasing a 32 foot Intech Black Wing 830x Travel Trailer. This trailer has an aluminum frame and has a large storage compartment that takes up the majority of the trailers tongue. This does not leave room for a traditional weight distribution hitch or sway control that is used on most travel trailers. I am looking at the Shocker hitch as well as the Gen-Y Boss hitch in hopes to help with my towing experience. My tow vehicle is a 2020 Chevy 2500HD diesel and the dry weight of the camper is between 6k and 6.5k lbs. I know none of these hitches will give me the same experience as a traditional WDH but is one better for towing and helping to control sway for my application than the other? Thank you for your time. -Shaun

Helpful Expert Reply:
Hey Shaun, first of all congrats on the soon to be new trailer! Secondly, between the Shocker # SHK95VR and the Gen-Y Boss # GY87WR I'd go with the Shocker for an overall better towing experience.
The Shocker hitch uses air ride technology which is fully adjustable, provides an instant smoother ride, is trailer weight adjustable, and is considerably lighter than the Boss.
