7-Way and Brake Controller Recommendation for 2024 Nissan Frontier

Question:
I have a 24 Pro-4x and I just bought a new camper today so I need to install a brake controller. I was looking at the brake controllers and noticed that if I dont have factory towing package I have to buy an additional harness. My truck didnt come with the hitch or trailer light wiring which I already added with the relays but it does have the Tow Mode button on the dash. Does that Tow Mode button mean that I have the tow package installed? On the build sheet I see Trailer Sway Control and Tow Mode button listed. I also pulled the kick panel and found the second plug up the side of the harness and there is nothing plugged in to it.

Hey Kevin, since you don't have the factory 7-way yet you'd need to start with the part # 118266 and then you'd be able to utilize a brake controller that plugs into the factory connection like the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty part # RED53CR which comes with the correct brake controller harness as well. What are you planning on towing?

Hey Kevin, how did things go getting the 7-way wiring and the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty set up on your truck? Your update could make it easier for others adding a brake controller without the factory tow package.
