Can the Furrion Chill Cube Be Used to Replace AirExcel 7330 W/ Separate Furnace
Updated 10/27/2025 | Published 03/13/2025 >
Question:
I am interested in changing out my current Coleman Mach on my Grand Design travel trailer to the Chill Cube to be more efficient when running off my batteries/inverter. The question I have relates to my thermostat. Currently I have an AirExcel 7330 analog thermostat that controls both my AC/Furnace. Based on the wiring diagram for the thermostat I’ve attached to this question, I should be able to forgo changing out my thermostat since the furnace function is totally separate from the AC function, right? And then I can use the remote that comes with the Chill Cube to control the AC side of things. Let me know if I am correct in this thinking, I know I have seen some people say their furnace controls run through the rooftop unit, but that does not appear to be the case with this thermostat. Thank you!

Hey Matt that all sounds right to me. If your furnace is separate from your rooftop unit then you are correct, you don't have to change your thermostat and can just use the included remote to control the Chill Cube # FR39TD.
This kit is for ducted systems, has a low profile design, and has a turbo boost to help boost airflow on hot days.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to drop a comment and let me know!
