HappiJac Camper Tie Downs that Fit 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500

Updated 02/24/2025 | Published 02/09/2025

Question:

I have a 2002 Chevy 2500hd 6.5 ft box. It has cab length running boards and it’s an extended not crew cab. I’m wanting to make sure the tie downs and turnbuckles I’m about to buy will properly fit my truck. The tie downs I’m looking to buy are the LC182906-182971 model, then also the turnbuckles are the LC182898 model. Thanks

Hey Doug, yes the Happijac Camper Tie Downs part # LC182906-182971 are correct for the way your 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500 is configured. The turnbuckles part # LC182898 are also correct as well. What camper do you have?

Thanks for the reply. I don’t currently have a truck camper but I’m mainly looking at hard sided lighter weight models, ranging in weight from 1k lbs to 1900 pounds.

@JamesonC Hmm I’m not sure how to upload another picture, but I just need to know where to drill the ole to tie into frame, the L bracket has a slotted hole so it can move left or right about and inch to two inches currently. Thanks

@Douglas You'll have to email it to me at this time. Sorry we are working on a way to have pictures get uploaded and I was hoping it would be done by the time you would be ready to upload a picture so that's my fault. Email is [email protected]

So I’ve got a question. I installed the plates between cab and truck bed and the stiffener bar, but for the L bracket hole location (place in truck bed to drill holes through bed and frame) I’m not sure where to drill the holes? Or if I’m supposed to use holes that are already there/factory holes? Hopefully the pics I send will help
