Brake Controller Recommendation for 2015 Toyota Tundra

Question:

I have a 2015 Toyota Tundra Double Cab TRD Limited that has a factory tow package but no controller. I bought a Curt bluetooth from you guys a few years ago. It works, but I dont like fumbling with my smartphone, so I am considering this, but I am confused. My truck has both the 7-prong and flat-4 prong outlets and again, the factory tow package. I am assuming there is a socket behind the dash somewhere that I would plug the factory controller into if I went that route, which I am unwilling to do. I want something that will work directly with the factory system included in my truck, though, and I dont really want something that hangs below the dash. What are my options? Thanks

Hey Andrew, yes the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty part # RED72CR is a fit for your 2015 Toyota Tundra with the factory tow package and is a really great option. There is a port under your dash that the included custom harness is designed to fit. It only puts a small knob on the dash of your truck which is the most minimalistic option we have. This is my favorite brake controller to recommend because of that and how well it performs.

Does that sound like something you'd like? This would be a big step up beyond your Echo.

OK, but when I look at the product description of # RED72CR it specifically states it fits 2015 Tundra 'without factory tow package'. Why would it say that ? I don't get it, please explain.

@AndrewN It actually fits both with and without and depending on where you see the message you might only see one or the other. It's a super annoying way we have it organized in our fitguide so I don't blame you for being confused.
