Question:

Hi , I’m looking at Sumo springs for my 2023 f250 SD 7.3 gas , I tow a Winnebago voyage at around 8000 lbs with TW at 1000 lbs I use a Pp hitch which adds more TW, we do tow from Pa to Oregon every summer , I usually have 1000-1500 lbs in bed of truck payload is 3800 lbs , my question is should I be looking at the 2800lb yellow sumo springs ??? Thank you

Hi Tim; the yellow SumoSprings # SSR-127-54 will be able to handle that weight but it sounds like you will be really close to their limit. Between the tongue weight, truck bed weight, and the long distance towing I think you would be better off adding the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs # SSR-128-47-2.

These have a higher 5,000 lb capacity which would be better for your application. They also have a 2 piece design which gives a smoother ride when you aren't towing or hauling. I understand their is quite a cost difference so if it isn't in the budget I would stick with the # SSR-127-54.
