Will this cross-style attachment fit on a standard I-beam aluminum trailer frame?

The CE Smith Post-Style Guide-Ons # CE27640 that you referenced will fit trailer frames up to 3-inches wide and 4-1/4-inches tall. For trailer frames up to 5-1/4-inches tall you will need their extra-long U-bolt kit # CE11416.
The linked photo shows a typical installation on an I-beam type trailer frame.
