Question:
Hello! Would you be able to tell me if the Reese Cargo Carrier will be able to clear the spare tire on my Jeep Wrangler? Will I need something to extend it or will it be okay?

Good question, Chad. The spare tire on your Jeep is a fun thing to deal with when adding hitch-mounted accessories.
The Reese Cargo Carrier # RP87KR actually does have a pretty long shank, long enough that I'm pretty confident it'll clear the spare. What you can do to be absolutely sure is take a quick measurement from the hitch pin hole on your hitch receiver, out to the outer edge of the tire. If this distance is less than 12-3/4", you're golden.
Now if by chance you come up with a longer measurement, you can definitely add an extender like the etrailer # e88YR, which will add more than enough clearance. The only bad thing about this solution is that an adapter will reduce your hitch's overall weight capacity by 50 percent. It's an important thing to keep in mind when loading up the carrier.
Just let me know if you have any other questions!
