Question:
We have a 1966 Streamline Duke that has a Bargman L-100 handle/lock. Can you recommend a replacement. We are using this trailer as an office and need a working door handle and lock. We have both handles, no keys.

Hello DeDe; we don't have a replacement that matches that style but you can upgrade to a modern locking latch like the # 295-000019 you were looking at. The most important thing is to find your cutout dimensions to see what fits. This particular door lock fits cutouts that measure 2-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" tall to 3" wide x 4" tall and doors that are 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" thick.
If your dimensions match it will work as a replacement. If the cutout is smaller you can also enlarge the opening. If it is bigger it gets a little harder to fill in. If your door thickness doesn't match you can always add in extra material to meet that requirement or shave it down a bit. If you have different cutout dimensions feel free to add them in the comments below and I will see if a better fit is available.

Thank you Robin! This door is 2 1/4 in thick so that seems to be the biggest hurdle we have from what my research has taught me. I guess we will need to research adding the extra material.
