Hi Donald,

Do you have the Dexter DX Series Electric Over Hydraulic Brake Actuator for Drum Brakes # K71-650? What is the year/make/model of the tow vehicle and do you have a factory brake controller or an aftermarket brake controller?

@Donald Ok, typically electric-over-hydraulic actuators can not properly operate with a factory brake controller due a delay in communication between the two. Dexter does list that Dodge's factory brake controller should have a setting to change over to electric-over-hydraulic brakes. If you've already tried this and it still will not activate the actuator then you'd want to switch over to an EOH compatible brake controller like the Tekonsha P3 # TK89UR. This kit comes with a plug-in wire harness to make the installation quick and easy.
