The Hellwig EZ-1000 Helper Springs - Above Axle # HE88VR would be an excellent fit for your 1986 Ford Ranger.

The dimensions of these springs are:
¼" thick
2 ¼" wide
2 spring is 18 ½" long
2 springs is 14 ¾" long

@KateF Hi! Actually the springs were used on an early Ford Ranger front spindles that I had previously welded a solid axle between them and made into a small utility trailer, using the rear springs off the same vehicle. Those old springs were not solid enough which caused the trailer to weave and begin to sway. The new ones solved those problems. Thanks! Tom
