When you’re towing a camper or hauling a full bed of gear, rear-end sag can throw off your handling and braking. The Hellwig EZ-550 Helper Springs add 500 lbs of load-leveling capacity above your factory leaf springs to keep your ride level and steady. They prevent sagging when towing or carrying light loads so your steering feels solid and your headlights stay aimed where they should.

Heavy loads can make a truck sway or bounce over bumps. These custom helper springs flex with your factory leaf springs to reduce body roll and limit bounce while maintaining stability. The U-bolts are adjustable so you can fine-tune the setup for different loads and driving conditions, keeping the truck planted when roads get rough or uneven.
Uneven cargo can make one side of your vehicle squat lower than the other. Each Hellwig EZ-550 Helper Spring can be adjusted separately on the driver and passenger sides to level things out. That means better control, even when hauling gear that’s off-center in the bed or trailer tongue weight that pulls harder on one side.
Installing suspension support shouldn’t require a lift or special tools. These helper springs bolt directly above your rear factory leaf springs using the included zinc-plated mounting hardware. The bolt-on design makes for an easy install in your driveway with basic tools—no drilling or cutting needed.
When you depend on your suspension every day, reliability matters. The EZ-550 Helper Springs are built from durable steel with a silver vein hammer tone powder coat finish that resists corrosion. This setup extends the life of your factory suspension, tires, and brakes so you can keep hauling without worrying about wear or rust down the road.

Everything came in good shape. Packaged very well. It is now time to install them.
Well made leaf booster. It should do well for my application.
I really don’t have a complaint with what the springs do. My average rating was due to product being two days late and the box ripped open and instead of waiting for the nuts and washers that were not in the box I went down to my local hardware store And bought some.
These overload springs will pretty much bolt to any standard light duty leaf spring pack. Hellwig makes great overload springs for the price. Fast shipping well packaged

Thanks James! I'm happy to hear everything from purchase to install went swiftly for you!
Only had them on a short time. Seem very good.
I have had three straight weeks of hauling sizable loads in my truck and install these right before the most recent load. Truck sits more level with the same load in it and the handling around corners and tight spots and the way that it handles the bumps has improved dramatically.
Absolutely! For some reason the truck was sagging on the passenger side. I put the hewing helpers on both sides but snugged the passenger side down a bit and leveled the truck.
Some of the nuts were difficult to start onto the u-bolts, tried to strip the threads
Well they work great. I currently have 4 of second round of nuts that are supposed to be installed. Not catching. Which is frustrating cause I hand started all but can’t get 2 round of nuts on.
Easy to install. It should help stabilize the rear springs when I tow our boat.
Loaded my tacoma with a portaboat on the ladder rack and a few hundred pounds of camping gear. The sag was gone after installing these. The ride is a little bit stiffer when empty as to be expected but not bad even on washboard dirt roads. These can be fairly easily installed and removed if desired. Hardest part is jacking up the truck to sit on the frame

Nice set up, Eddie! How was your most recent camping trip?
Way better than expected. Huge difference in the rear suspension. It’s almost like having a sway bar.

Glad to hear they are helping, Thomas! Looks like you have a pretty good amount of weight back there as well, so that's quite the compliment! ^___^ What kind of bike is that? Couldn't tell from the picture.

The Hellwig EZ-550 Helper Springs didnt work out for me. When my 2021 Tacoma wasnt loaded the ride was to stiff and the bed sat to high. I have since installed SUMO Springs and they have worked well for my occasional haulingtowing and do not affect normal unloaded driving.
