Electric tongue jack runs but doesn’t go up or down. Is there a shear pin or key way ?

Hello Neil, thanks for reaching out. The problem you are describing sounds like an internal issue with the jack, most likely a stripped or broken gear. It sounds like you can hear the motor running but nothing happens, which would absolutely be caused by a damaged gear. Unfortunately, the gears in the Bulldog # BD500199 jack are not replaceable, so your best option will be a new jack.
