Question:

Hi Guys, I ordered a Reese Hitch and Tekonsha wiring 118269 for my new 24 Kia Sorento X-line. I installed the hitch, no problems until I got to the wiring. Before I ordered I watched your hitch and wiring video for the Sorento and when I pulled down the underside cover at the left rear there is no factory towing harness connectors like there was in the video. Now I went back and watched the video to realize the video was a 20 Sorento! Oh Oh! So now I see the 23 Sorento Video where the installation is much more involved and Robin asks the previous questioner if its a LED or Incandescent vehicle to which a C99DR kit would be needed for LED. My question is will the C99DR work on a 24 Sorento X-Line.

Hi Rod; the # 118269 you ordered will fit a 2024 Kia Sorento, but only with the tow package port which it sounds like you don't have. This is also designed for models with incandescent tail lights. I'm 99% sure the X-Line comes with LED lights which means one way or another it won't fit your vehicle. Make sure you check the lights just to be sure they are LED. Assuming they are, the # C99DR is the correct wiring harness.

Hi Robin, you are right on the money! I pulled a taillight assembly and it is definitely LED. So now I will order the C99DR and return the 118269! and any advice on returns would be helpful. Thank You. Rod Gilbertson

@RodG I'm glad it is sorted out. Returns are handled through our customer service department so you will need to reach out to them separately to handle that.
