Push-down rubber strips in the top channels seal up tight around your accessories, helping keep the airflow smooth and your drive quieter.
Whether it’s a cargo box for road trips, a kayak carrier for weekends on the water, or a fishing rod holder for early mornings at the lake, this rack can handle it. The top channels fit both channel-mount and clamp-on accessories, so you can easily attach the gear you already own or add new mounts when adventure calls. It’s ready for boxes, baskets, kayak carriers, and more—all while keeping installation simple.
Each of the two crossbars measures 45-1/2" long x 5-1/4" wide x 4" tall and supports up to 165 lbs (always follow your vehicle’s roof load limit). Integrated steel bands wrap securely around raised side rails to hold everything tight in place. The aluminum construction keeps weight low—just 13 lbs total—without giving up strength or stability on long trips or rough roads.
You can add Yakima’s Same Key System lock cores (sold separately) to help deter theft of your roof rack setup. Once installed, you can lock down both bars with one key, giving you peace of mind when your vehicle’s parked at the trailhead or hotel overnight.
